  1. FCA says it's time to dump the transmission pumps in 37,000 vans and SUVs.

    An internal investigation by FCA found their transmission pumps "may not conform to specifications" and can cause a sudden loss of propulsion.

    "Recalled are 2015-2016 Dodge Journey crossover SUVs, 2015-2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans and 2016 Ram ProMaster full-size vans."

    There's no word on when the recall will begin.

    While the system is working as it was designed, it's the design that's the problem.

    "A driver should know the gear-selection based on multiple sets of indicator lights, unlike normal shifters that use a gear-selector position. However, hundreds of drivers have caused their vehicles to roll away because of not realizing the vehicles aren't in Park."…
